The Men's Football Tournament
Event Format
Eight teams will be selected for the 2025 football tournament. Initially, they will all compete in a two-group championship format before a second knockout phase between the top four teams.
The rules of the game are those of the International Football Federation (FIFA).
The First Phase
The eight teams will be randomly drawn into two groups, with a maximum of two Comorian teams per group.
In the same group, all teams compete in a championship format to establish a standings.
A win earns 3 points, a draw earns 1 point, and a loss earns 0 point.
In the event of a tie, the teams are separated as follows:
1-Result of the match between the teams in question.
2-Best overall goal difference.
3-Highest number of goals scored.
4-Highest number of wins.
5-Earliest first goal scored in the competition.
Final Phase
For the semifinals, the top-ranked teams will face the second-place teams from the other group.
The winners will then play in the final, while the losers will play in the third-place match.
In the event of a tie at the end of regulation time, a penalty shootout will be held.
Team Format
Each team will be composed of a maximum of 25 people, divided as follows:
-One team manager.
-Four supervisors (coach, medical staff, etc.).
-20 players
Only the team manager is authorized to discuss matters with the organization during the tournament.
